DIY Stamp Paintings: Boho Rainbow and Half Moon
Do you remember stamp paintings from when you were a kid? Cutting potatoes or apples into various shapes (snacking on the occasional apple here and there), dabbing them into paint and stamping them onto paper. Well this fun craft is back and it's an easy way to create some trendy wall art for your home. Today I'm sharing some unique DIY stamp paintings ideas, from a boho rainbow to half moon, and it's all with items you probably have in your pantry. These DIY stamp paintings are a great modern craft to do with the kids and will you have more time at home.
This is such a fun one. All you need is a can good and some hair elastics (the fabric covered elastics are better). Simply place 6 elastics evenly spaced on a can good, roll in some paint, blot it on a paper towel and roll onto your desired canvas or paper. Be sure to do a few practice rolls.
Stamp #2: Half moon painting
This is the stamp you're probably the most familiar with, you know the one, where you cut the potato into a shape and go to town. For this one I simply pushed a round cookie cutter into the potato and cut around it to ensure a perfect circle. Then I cut it in half to create the half moon or scallop shape.
Stamp #3: Dots
Short and sweet. Use a glue gun to make some dots on the lid of a jar and then dip it into paint. You could also achieve this look using the back of pencil if you have the time,
