This one is a bit of a throw back because I was looking through my files and realized I never fully posted the Woodland Birthday Food Ideas from my son's first birthday (yep he's four now, that's how behind I am lol and don't ask me about his baby book - still not done). Anywhoo I felt I made some pretty fun food for his woodland party so I thought I would share regardless of how of how long it took me.
I'm big on the "party table" I really like it to exude the theme of the party so people know exactly what they're getting into. My son's woodland party table included lots of wood and logs, DIY animals with party hats, s'mores, pudding dirt, acorns, red mushroom cupcakes and moss cupcakes.
To make the moss cupcakes I simply add a few drops of green food colouring to some graham cracker crumbs, iced the cupcake in vanilla frosting and dipped it in the green graham crackers. It was perfect.
For these cute little chocolate acorns I used some melted chocolate to glue together a Manilla cookie, a Hershey kiss and a butterscotch chips for the top.
For the pudding dirt, I simply piped some chocolate pudding into some small cups and topped it off with some crushed oreo cookie crumbs. It looked perfect and was delicious.
I made some S'mores with the usual ingredients, graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate. I pre-melted these so it wouldn't be too messy around the party. The kids loved these "to-go S'mores'.
That's it. A cute first birthday party filled with fun Woodland Birthday food ideas. Oh yes and be sure to check out the boho sack party favours and plastic animal party hats tutorials.
