Lobster Dinner Table Setting
This summer my husband and I decided to have a few people over for a lobster dinner (hoping this might spur a lobster-fest tradition). Honestly, I was a bit intimidated to actually cook the little guys so my husband graciously agreed to cook them, phewf. The one thing I was super excited about was decorating the table. I picked up everything for our lobster dinner table setting at Kitchen Stuff Plus. The selection is amazing and your guests will not believe this is outdoor dinnerware. Oh yes, and if you sign up for KSP email today you'll get a 20% coupon!
I love the eclectic feel of the table, the chairs are mismatched from around the house (much like at the cottage) and the Kitchen Stuff Plus colourful outdoor dinnerware really help create that dockside feeling.
I bought these lamp shade frames from a thrift store a few years back. I had been waiting for the perfect occasion to use them and a lobster dinner felt right because they kind of look like lobster cages (I know, a far stretch). I hung two lanterns from Kitchen Stuff Plus inside the frames and attached the whole thing with thick nautical rope. Be sure to check out this DIY Outdoor Chandelier post.
We covered the table in newspaper because we like the look and it made for an easier clean up. Some other elements that I really love about this table include the small colanders for lobster shells and the paddle tea-towels as napkins - because let's face it lobster can get messy.
The colanders worked great to dispose of the shells and the red pie dish bowls were perfect for the melted butter! So yummy!
