Mini Tobacco Basket DIY - Christmas Placecard
This past weekend I went out for a much needed girls night out. Honestly, I feel like my battery has been recharged. We chatted and caught up on eachother's lives, we laughed, ate good food and danced - what a fun weekend full of holiday sparkle!
In addition to having fun this weekend, I also thought about the #12monthsofdiy challenge and what I wanted to do for #novemberpaper. For the past few months I've wanted to make a full size Tobacco Basket for my living room so I thought why not make a few prototypes out of paper and use them as a placecards at my Christmas dinner. So here it is, my mini tobacco basket DIY Christmas placecard holder (or you could use it as an ornament).
Here are the things you will need.
Cut the card stock paper into thin strips.
Lay them out 6 by 6 to make a square.
Weave them over-under, over-under, repeat, repeat.
Fold the strips up and glue a strip around the parameter.
Add two strips in an "X" in the middle if you'd like.
Oh yes, and don't forget to add the sparkle...
That's it. Stay tuned for the big Tobacco basket DIY coming soon.

For the tobacco basket ornament use clear Elmer's glue put each strip in glue then weave. Th glue really makes a great stablelizer for the stripes little messy but worth it...
