DIY Faux Fur Christmas Wreath
I'm from a small town in South Western Ontario and I love anything that reminds me of my roots. Giant Tiger is one of those things. Giant Tiger has always been that discount store with unique finds and unexpected inspiration. In addition to a great selection of Christmas decor items, Giant Tiger also has a lot of items to help with your own DIY Christmas Decor like this DIY faux fur Christmas wreath I created with their faux fur blankets.
I recently attended a sneak-peak at a new Giant Tiger store that opened in Barrie. One of the things that caught my eye were these great faux mink fur blankets. I'm pretty picky about my faux fur because so often you can feel the faux rather than the fur. These fur blankets from Giant Tiger not only feel amazing but they also wash well which is great for a mom of two little guys. I purchased two blankets (and I might go back for more). One is for cuddles in the living room and the other I used in this DIY.
Note, faux fur at the fabric store is super expensive so this is an affordable solution to get the look for less.
Here are the things you'll need; Faux fur blanket from Giant Tiger, styrofoam wreath ring, scissors and hot glue. That's it!
Start by cutting your fur blanket into strips.
Comb out the excess fur with your fingers - careful this can be a bit messy (use a piece of tape or lint roller to clean the fur off your clothes and room).
Use hot glue to adhere the fur strip to the styrofoam wreath ring.
Wrap the fur strip around the wreath ring.
This Faux Fur Christmas Wreath adds coziness to any Christmas decor. I used my Christmas fur wreaths to decorate my dining room chairs.
