This is the third and final DIY New Years Eve Decor project (See "DIY champagne glasses" and "DIY champagne balloon bubbles")
In this one we're making a simple garland made out of the year-end newspapers. I like to think of it as a little homage to the year past.

 Here are the things you'll need:
 First spray paint one side of the newspaper pages.
 Fold the paper down and draw a bell shape starting at the fold (cut the other side to ensure there are no folds).
 Cut out each bell and proceed to cut strips, stopping just before the top.
 Unfold the bell and slip it under the string,
 Fold it over the string and tape it together at the top.
Squish and fluff the garland as necessary and hang.
