Admittedly we didn't put enough effort into our cake. For some reason we thought it would make sense to order slab cake for dessert and three mini cakes for pics. We ordered everything from Dufflet - it was delicious and looked good but not quite as good as my inspiration.

Here is the inspiration

First step, I purchased three cake stands from The Bay. Each came with a lid but I didn't use the lids for our wedding cake.


Next I tested the look with white towels.


Added a few candles (pillar and votive). Here is our cake on our wedding day.
